Polin Tsarev

Hello! I'm Polin. I studied Fine Arts at Moscow State University of Design and Applied Arts named after Stroganov.

After graduating in 2010, I started working as an illustrator in periodicals and creating prints using the linocut technique. 

Later, I became interested in animation and began my career as a background artist. In 2019, I commenced my woodworking journey by carving my first bowl and several spoons. 

In addition, I've acquired knowledge of basic joinery and hand-sharpening techniques, which were crucial in my practice and gave me a boost. 

Currently, I'm enthusiastic about exploring green woodworking and learning about the wood species of Portugal. 

I'm committed to developing my carving skills, mostly using hand tools. Here, at Atelier Sem Forma, I'm continuing to learn and stay curious.
